Is the entrance really free?
Yes, you will not pay anything for the entrance.
Is there an age limit for participation?
No, there is no age limit.
How will I get to the festival area?
You can arrive to the festival area either by Ortaköy – Bebek – Sarıyer shore way, or Beşiktaş – 4th Levent – Maslak way by using the minibuses to Sarıyer. Ask for the minibus or bus to BarışaRock (Rock for Peace's Turkish pronunciation: barisharock)
Take a bus/minibus from Taksim, 4th Levent and Sarıyer: You can take bus “Number 42”. For further information you can visit: http://www.iett.gov.tr/en /index.php
Is there any parking facilities?
We don't want to create more carbon for the atmosphere. Therefore we prefer and suggest public transportation. There are some parking places around the festival area but we have no agreement with the park.
May I take my vechile in the festival area?
Vechiles (bicycles, roller blades, skateboards are excluded) won't be allowed in the festival area.
How is the food prices at the festival area and is there a vegetarian menu?
There is a vegetarian menu and we try hard to make the catering companies sell food to a price for a student.
Is there internet connection/electricty/a plug to charge my phone?
Festival area is a forest and there is no infrastructure of any kind.
Can we have a stand at the festival area?
We don't allow anyone to sell anything. Rock for Peace is not a commercial festival. Everyone and every group can have a stand at the festival area by accepting our principles. Get in touch with barisarock@barisarock.biz if you want a stand at Rock for Peace.
Useful Information About the Festival Area:
We have been camping in festival area with our tents for 4 years now and at the camping area we arrange have some games and discussions. Each year the most exciting place of the festival is camping area that we carry on our friendships this year too. Of course we have some small problems from time to time but we solve them peacefully. This year we will be there again with our tents.
Don't Bring:
- All kinds of food and drink
- All drinks and fluids involve alcohol (cologne, perfume, etc...)
- Any medications if not prescribed
- Drugs and all illegal ingredients
- Camp burner and/or tube
- Any flammable material
- Guns
- Cutters like knife, pocket knife, etc…
- Glass bottle and things alike
- Rockets, sparkler, etc…
- Pressured deodorants and things alike in metal or glass bottle
Keep in mind:
- There can be changes in festival program.
- Be ready for all weather conditions and take your clothes appropriate for any weather condition. Except extra-ordinary cases we'll arrange the festival in all weather conditions.
- People who are camping are responsible for their stuff.
- There's no secure box/closet etc. at the festival area; so please don't bring any stuff that you can't afford to lose.
- We suggest you to use public transportation. We support carbon emission cuts policy and therefore we don't have any preparation for cars. There's a car parking place nearby, but we have no connection with it and its price.
